Abstract
Physical characteristics of land are important factors in the cultivation of oil palm plants. This research was carried out at PT. Bina Pratama Sakato Jaya Kiliran Jao unit, Kamang Baru District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra from January to September 2018. This study aimed to determine the relationship of land slope to the level of production of oil palm fresh fruit bunches. This research was in the form of a survey with sampling points using purposive random sampling method. The parameters were the weight of fresh fruit bunches, diameter of stem and plant height. Data analysis used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) and a simple linear regression method. The results showed that land slope has a very significant effect on the production of oil palm fresh fruit bunches. The highest production average was obtained on a land slope (0-3%) and ramps (3-8%). And the lowest production average was on steep slopes (15-30%) and very steep (30-45%). Keywords: Oil palm, Land slope, Fresh fruit bunches, Steep
