Abstract

Penelitian tentang pengaruh pupuk organik vermikompos terhadap pertumbuhan kelapa sawit (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) di pembibitan utama. Telahdilakukan di Kebupaten Dharmasraya, Kecamatan Sungai Dareh dari bulan Oktober 2017 sampai Februari 2018. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mempelajari pengaruh pupuk organik vermikompos dan mengetahui dosis terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kelapa sawit di pembibitan utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji F pada taraf 5%, apabila F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel 5% maka akan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf 5%. Dosis vermikompos yang digunakan adalah 0,00 kg; 0,25 kg; 0,50 kg; 0,75 kg; 1,00 kg. Hasil dari penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik vermikompos berpengaruh terhadap peubah dari tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang daun dan lingkaran bonggol sedangkan pada peubah dari lebar daun tidak ada pengaruh. Dosis vermikompos 0,75 kg adalah dosis terbaik untuk peubah jumlah daun, lebar daun dan lingkaran bonggol. Kata kunci : Bibit, dosis, kelapa sawit dan vermikompos. THE EFFECT OF VERMIKOMPOS ORGANIC FERTILIZER ON THE GROWTH OF OIL PALM (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) IN MAIN NURSERY Abstract Research on the effect of vermicompost organic fertilizer on the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) in the main nursery. Was carried out in Dharmasraya Regency, Sungai Dareh Subdistrict from October 2017 to February 2018. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of vermicompost organic fertilizers and find out the best dosage for the growth of oil palm in the main nursery. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. Data from the observations were analyzed statistically by the F test at the level of 5%, if the F count is greater than F table 5% then it followed by the Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The vermicompost doses used were 0.00 kg; 0.25 kg; 0.50 kg; 0.75 kg; 1.00 kg. The results of this study concluded that the application of vermicompost organic fertilizer has an effect on the variable of height of plants, number of leaves, leaf length and hump circle whereas in leaf width variables there is no effect. The 0.75 kg vermicompost dose is the best dose for number of leaves, leaf width and hump circle. Keyword : Seed, dosage, oil palm and vermicompost
