Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prediction of financial distress using the Altman (ZScore) and Springate (S-Score) models in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017. This study uses quantitative descriptive research. The data sources in this study are secondary data in the form of Company Financial Reports obtained from the website: www.idx.com. Based on the analysis conducted using the Altman model (Z-Score) to predict financial distress there are 53 companies that have a value of Z> 2.99 (not bankrupt), 18 companies have a value of 1.81 <Z <2.99 (grey area) , and 28 companies have a value of Z <1.81 (bankrupt). Whereas when using the Springate model (S-Score) to predict financial distress there are 40 companies that have a value of S <0.862 (bankruptcy), and 59 companies have a value of S> 0.862 (not bankrupt).
