Abstract
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancers in women around the world. The size of the tumor is known to determine the prognosis of cervical cancer. Stage IB2 and IIA2 (tumor size > 4 cm) are known only have 60%-70% 5-year survival rate. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy has been evaluated as a treatment strategy in stages IB2 and IIA2. This study aims to determine the relationship between tumor size and the response of neoadjuvant chemotherapy to stage IB2 and IIA2 cervical cancer. This cohort analytic study carried out on 16 patients stage IB2 and IIA2 cervical cancer. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling technique. Data includes the results of ultrasound examination (tumor size and tumor volume). Data were analyzed using the bivariat Fisher’s exact test, Dependent sample T-test, Independent sample T-test, and Mann-Whitney test. The results of the study in tumor size 4-6 cm and > 6 cm had a good response to the administration of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on 12 people (75%). The median tumor volume was 43,218 cm3 had a good response to the administration of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on 13 people (81,25%). There was no significant relationship between tumor size and volume with the response of neoadjuvant chemotherapy to stage IB2 and IIA2 cervical cancer. Keywords: tumor size, tumor volume, response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, stage IB2 and IIA2 cervical cancer Abstrak HUBUNGAN UKURAN TUMOR DENGAN RESPON KEMOTERAPI NEOADJUVANT PADA KANKER SERVIKS STADIUM IB2 DAN IIA2 Oleh Ghiana Rizkyta Kanker serviks menduduki posisi keempat di antara kanker yang paling umum terjadi pada wanita di seluruh dunia.
