Abstract

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN CA-125 LEVEL AND HISTOPATHOLOGICAL FEATURE OF EPITHELIAL OVARIAN CANCER PATIENT IN DR. M. JAMIL HOSPITAL By Fajri Hayati Putri ABSTRACT Ovarian cancer is one of the most lethal cancers with high incidence and death rate. Epithelial ovarian cancer; the most common type of ovarian cancer, has serous and non-serous histhopatological feature which each of them has different risk factors, biological behavior, and response to therapy. Cancer antigen 125 or CA-125 is the biomarker used in diagnosing ovarian cancer. The objective of this study is to determine the correlation between CA-125 level and histopathological feature of epithelial ovarian cancer patient in Dr. M. Jamil Hospital. The study was done by using observasional analytical method with cross sectional design. This study was conducted in medical record department at Dr. M. Jamil Hospital using medical record of ovarian cancer patients in 2017. Subjects were 75 ovarian epithelial cancer patients that were divided into two groups, which are 39 patients with serous histhopatological feature and 36 patients with non-serous histopathological feature. Data analyses were done by using Saphiro Wilk normality test and Mann-Whitney test. Results from this study reported average CA-125 level in serous subjects were 360,26 ± 231,92 U/ml and 101,14 ± 94,02 U/ml for the non-serous with p value = 0.000 (p value < 0.05). This study showed that CA-125 level correlates significantly with the histopathologial type of epithelial ovarian cancer. Keywords: Ovarian cancer, CA-125, histopathological feature   HUBUNGAN KADAR CA-125 DENGAN GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGI PASIEN KANKER OVARIUM EPITELIAL DI RSUP DR MDJAMIL Oleh Fajri Hayati Putri ABSTRAK Kanker ovarium merupakan salah satu keganasan dengan angka kejadian dan kematian yang cukup tinggi. Kanker ovarium epitelial; tipe kanker ovarium terbanyak, memiliki gambaran histopatologi tipe serosum dan non-serosum yang mana masing-masingnya memiliki faktor risiko, sifat biologis, dan respon terapi yang berbeda-beda. Cancer antigen 125 atau CA-125 merupakan penanda tumor yang dipakai dalam diagnosis kanker ovarium. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kadar CA-125 dan gambaran histopatologi pasien kanker ovarium epitelial di RSUP Dr. M. Jamil Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain penelitian studi cross-sectional. Penelitian dilaksanakan di bagian rekam medis RSUP Dr. M.Djamil menggunakan data rekam medis pasien kanker ovarium epitelial tahun 2017. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 75 pasien kanker ovarium epitelial yang terbagi atas dua kelompok, yaitu 39 penderita tipe serosum dan 36 penderita tipe non-serosum. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas Saphiro-Wilk dan uji Mann-Whitney. Penelitian ini mendapatkan rerata kadar CA-125 penderita tipe serosum adalah 360,26 ± 231,92 U/ml dan rerata kadar CA-125 pada penderita tipe non-serosum adalah 101,14 ± 94,02 U/ml, dengan nilai p=0.000 (nilai p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kadar CA-125 dengan gambaran histopatologi pasien kanker ovarium epitelial di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang.
