Abstract

Background and Objective Immunization is an attempt to increase individual immunity to avoid certain diseases. Basic immunization that must be given to babies are Hepatitis B, Polio, BCG, DPT, Measles. By giving basic immunization in full to the baby, the baby will avoid certain diseases and increase immunity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers with basic immunization in babies in the Pasia Nan Tigo Village of the Lubuk Buaya Health Center in Padang City in 2018. Method A cross sectional study was carried out in Parak Laweh Village from February 2018 to August 2018. The sample were mothers who had children aged ≥ 1 year - ≤ 2 of 48 people. Mothers as respondents were interviewed directly using a questionnaire. Result The results showed that mothers with less knowledge were 27.1% and mothers who had good knowledge were 72.9%. Babies who get basic munization in full are 52.1% and incomplete are 47.9%. There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers (p = 0.004) with the provision of basic immunization in babies. Conclusion Mother's knowledge is very influential on the provision of basic immunization in babies. Therefore, it is important to give the information and education for mothers to bring their babies to health workers for basic immunization. Imunisasi dasar yang wajib diberikan pada bayi yaitu Hepatitis B, Polio, BCG, DPT, Campak. Dengan diberikannya imunisasi dasar secara lengkap pada bayi maka bayi akan terhindar dari penyakit tertentu dan meningkatkan kekebalan tubuhnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian imunisasi dasar pada bayi di Kelurahan Pasia Nan Tigo Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Kota Padang Tahun 2018. Metode Penelitian cross sectional dilakukan di Kelurahan Pasia Nan Tigo dari bulan Februari 2018 sampai bulan Agustus 2018. Sampel adalah ibu yang memiliki anak berusia ≥ 1 tahun - ≤ 2 sebanyak 48 orang. Ibu sebagai responden diwawancarai secara langsung dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ibu yang berpengetahuan kurang 27,1% dan ibu yang berpengetahuan baik sebesar 72,9%. Bayi yang mendapatkan munisasi dasar secara lengkap sebesar 52,1% dan yang tidak lengkap 47,9%. Terdapat hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu (p=0,004) dengan pemberian imunisasi dasar pada bayi. Kesimpulan Pengetahuan ibu sangat berpengaruh terhadap pemberian imunisasi dasar pada bayi. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk memberikan informasi dan edukasi kepada para ibu agar membawa bayinya ke tenaga kesehatan untuk diberikan imunisasi dasar.
