Abstract
Indonesian agriculture was dominated by small-scale businesses. The small business scale and individualist management caused inefficient production costs and finally low income. To solve this condition, a collective movement of farmer was needed to increase the business scale. The existence of collectivity would provide greater quantity and better quality of product compared to business carried out individually. This research was conducted at Bina Bersama and Tuah Sakato farmers groups. The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of collectivity at Bina Bersama and Tuah Sakato farmers groups, to determine collectivity performance and factors that influence the performance of collectivity. The results of this research indicated that Bina Bersama farmers group conducted collectivity activities in all agribusiness subsystems namely; production facilities, production process, product processing, marketing, and capital collectivities, while Tuah Sakato farmers group conducted only production facilities and production collectivities. Overall, the performance of collectivity in both farmer groups was good. The factors that influence the performance of this collectivity were trust, participation and commitment to cooperate.
