Abstract
HYMENOPTERA PARASITOIDS DIVERSITY ASSOCIATED WITH ORGANIC AND CONVENTIONAL RICE FIELD ECOSYSTEM IN PADANG PARIAMAN Abstract Parasitoids Hymenoptera plays an important role to control insect pest populations in agricultural ecosystems, including rice field. The difference in rice cultivation systems can affect the diversity of parasitoids Hymenoptera. The research aimed to study the diversity of parasitoid Hymenoptera in the organic and conventional rice field ecosystem in Padang Pariaman Regency. The research was conducted in the form of survey and sample location selection using Purposive Random Sampling method. The selected locations were an organic and conventional rice field in Nagari Kasang and Sungai Buluh in Batang Anai District, Padang Pariaman. The study was conducted from August to October 2017. A total number of parasitoid Hymenoptera individuals that have been collected were 353 individuals belonging to 13 families. The number of parasitoid Hymenoptera individuals found in organic farming (266 individuals) was higher than conventional farming (87 individuals). Parasitoid Hymenoptera diversity index on organic rice farming (4,076) higher than conventional rice farming (3,645). Parasitoid Hymenoptera diversity index in the vegetative phase is higher than a generative phase. In organic farming system obtained the index of diversity in the vegetative and generative phase that is 3,839 and 3,695, whereas in conventional farming system 3,380 in the vegetative phase and 2,652 in the generative phase. Parasitoid Hymenoptera species evenness index on organic and conventional farming did not differ much 0.905 and 0.941 respectively. Parasitoid Hymenoptera evenness index on growth phase of vegetative and generative rice also did not differ greatly. The evenness index in agroecosystem’s vegetative and generative phase that is 0,903 and 0,944, whereas in conventional rice that is 0,936 and 0,956. Parasitoid Hymenoptera species similarity between organic and conventional rice field in Kabupaten Padang Pariaman is 49.27%. Key words: Diversity, conventional, organic, rice (Oryzae sativa), agroecosystem, Hymenoptera parasitoids.
