Abstract
Kata kunci : Keanekaragaman, Laba-laba, Padi, Organik DIVERSITY OF SPIDERS (Arachnida : Araneae) IN ORGANIC AND CONVENTIONAL RICE FIELDS ECOSYSTEM IN PADANG PARIAMAN ABSTRACT Spiders are important natural enemies in suppressing pest populations in a rice field. Differences in cultivation systems affect the population and the extent of species diversity of spiders. This research aimed to study the diversity of spiders in organic and conventional rice filed ecosystems in Padang Pariaman Regency. The sampling method uses a sweep net and pitfall trap. Samples were collected in Nagari Kasang and Sungai Buluah. Data on species diversity, evenness and dominance were analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener, Pielou, and Important Value Indices. The total number of spiders collected in this study were 1766 individuals consisting of 11 families, 17 genera, 8 species and 20 morphospecies. Species diversity in organic rice field ecosystem is higher than conventional rice that is 2,02 and 1,74 respectively, while the highest evenness indices are in conventional rice ecosystem that is 0,70. The dominant spider species at the research site is Tetragnathidae javana. Keyword: Abundant, Spiders, Rice, Organic
