Abstract
The purpose of this research is to see the impact of economic growth, literacy rate, expenditure per capita, population, agrishare, and durattion of school towards poverty rate in West Sumatra. Poverty in this research measured by the total of poverty rate in districts or city of West Sumatra. This research use another independent variable such as economic growth, literacy rate, expenditure per capita, population, agrishare, and durattion of school. The methodology which is used in this research is panel data with cross section of 19 districts or cities in West Sumatra and time series data from 2011-2015. The research shows that Economic Growth, Literacy Rate, Agrishare, Expenditure per Capita, and Duration of School has significant and negative relationship on Poverty Rate. The population has significant and positive relationship on poverty rate.
