Abstract
Research on household ants species (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in Pariaman city, West Sumatra has been carried out from June to November 2015 using the method Baited traps and Hand collection. Has found as many as 18 species of ants are classified into four subfamilies, nine tribe, 14 genera with a total of 5445 individual samples of ants. Number of ant species most commonly found are a subfamily Formicinae 7 species and 5 genera, followed by subfamily Myrmicinae 6 species and 4 genus and subfamily Dolichoderinae 3 species and 3 genera, while the number of types of ants at least found was subfamily Ponerinae 2 types and 2 genus. A total of 14 species of ants were found to belong to the in household pests. Keyword : Ants, Households, Baited traps, Hand collection,Pests.
