Abstract

Skripsi ini ingin menjelaskan bagaimana perbedaan hubungan bentuk-bentuk politik uang dan partisipasi pemilih pada pemilihan legislatif tahun 2014 di Kecamatan Nanggalo dan Kecamatan Kuranji. Teori partisipasi politik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori partisipasi politik Michael Rush Dan Phillip Althoff, dan untuk konsep partisipasi pemilih menggunakan konsep Mirriam Budiardjo dimana partisipasi pemilih diartikan sebagai suatu bentuk partisipasi politik dalam pemilu melalui perhitungan persentase orang yang menggunakan hak pilihnya, dibandingkan dengan seluruh jumlah warga negara yang memiliki hak dalam pemilihan. Sedangkan teori yang membahas bentuk-bentuk politik uang menggunakan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Edward Aspinall menurutnya teori bentuk-bentuk politik uang terdapat 5 bentuk politik uang yang tersebar di tengah-tengah masyarakat, salah satunya yaitu pembelian suara yang akan di bahas dalam penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif yakni metode survey dengan memakai jenis penelitian comparative dengan dua variabel, skala yang digunakan adalah nominal, uji hipotesis menggunakan sign test, chi square dan congtingency coefficient. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan stratified random sampling dengan jumlah 200 orang sampel tersebar di Kecamatan Nanggalo dan Kecamatan Kuranji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan bentuk-bentuk politik uang dalam bentuk hadiah, kalender, baju kaus, stiker, barang-barang yang menggambarkan diri calon, dan dana kegitan daerah terhadap partisipasi pemilih, dari masyarakat Kecamatan Nanggalo maupun pada masyarakat Kecamatan Kuranji Kota Padang. Dari hasil yang di dapatkan menunjukkan ada perbedaan hubungan bentuk-bentuk politik uang dan partisipasi pemilih dari Kecamatan Nanggalo dan Kecamatan Kuranji. This thesis wants to explain how the different relations between money politics and voter participation in legislative elections in 2014 in Nanggalo and Kuranji sub-districts. The political participation theory used in this research is the theory of political participation of Michael Rush and Phillip Althoff, and for the concept of voter participation using the Mirriam Budiardjo concept in which voter participation is defined as a form of political participation in the election by calculating the percentage of people exercising their voting rights, the number of citizens who have the right to vote. While the theory that discusses the forms of money politics using the theory put forward by Edward Aspinall according to the theory of the forms of money politics there are 5 forms of money politics scattered in the midst of society, one of which is the purchase of votes that will be discussed in this study. The method used in this research is quantitative approach that is survey method by using the type of comparative research with two variables, the scale used is nominal, hypothesis test using sign test, chi square and congtingency coefficient. Sampling using stratified random sampling with number of 200 sample people spread in District of Nanggalo and District Kuranji. The result of the research shows that there is a relationship between money politics form in the form of gift, calendar, t-shirts, stickers, self-portrait items, and local budget funds to voters' participation, from Nanggalo sub-district and community of Kuranji sub-district Padang City. From the results obtained shows there is a difference in the relationship between the forms of money politics and voter participation from the District of Nanggalo and District Kuranji.
