Abstract
The study about optimation simultaneous determination of metal ion Cu(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) by adsorptive stripping voltammetry (AdSV) using calcein as complexing agent had been conducted. The aim of this research is to simultaneous determine optimum condition of metal ion Cu(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) based on adsorptive accumulation of Cu(II)-calcein, Pb(II)-calcein, and Zn(II)-calcein complexes onto Hanging Mercury Drop Electrode (HMDE) followed by reduction of adsorptive species onto work electrode. The Optimum conditions were achieved at calcein concentration 5 mM, pH 7, accumulation potential -0.7 V and accumulation time 80 second. This method has been apllied to examine metal ion Cu(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) in sea water of Padang Beach, Pasar Baru River and tap water of Instrumental Laboratory Chemistry Departement of Andalas University. Concentration of metal ion in sea water was obtained Zn(II) 731.095 µg/L; Pb(II) 287.387µg/L; and Cu(II) 1,137.054 µg/L. For tap water was obtained Zn(II) 457.261 µg/L; Pb(II) 63.079 µg/L; and Cu(II) 280.028 µg/L. For river was obtained Zn(II) 162.757 µg/L; Cu(II) 204.805 µg/L and Pb(II) undetected. Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) was obtained for each metal ion Cu(II) 4.26%, Pb 7.44% and Zn(II) 3.25% at optimum condition with replication 10 times. The average recovery was obtained Cu(II) 109.49%, Pb(II) 104.01% and Zn(II) 110.45%. Keyword: copper, lead, zinc,Adsorptive stripping voltammetry, and calcein.
