Abstract
This research aims to find and describe the efforts undertaken by China in reducing the procurement of opium from golden triangle through ACCORD (ASEAN and China Cooperative Operation in Response to Dangerous Drugs) from 2006-2015. The study uses the concept of international cooperation using the fourth pillar cooperation of ACCORD framework which is alternative developments. Pillar IV consists of 5 indicators showing the steps taken to overcome opium-type drugs. This study uses qualitative methods and data collection techniques using literature study. The study concluded that efforts of China do not fully carry out within the framework of ACCORD. China is making more bilateral and trilateral endeavor with the Golden Triangle countries. China's efforts with ASEAN consist of sharing information and conducting joint patrols. Meanwhile, for alternative development programs, China prefer to directly cooperate with Myanmar and Laos. Keywords: China, opium, ASEAN, ACCORD, Golden Triangle.
