Abstract
CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF HIV/AIDS ADULT PATIENTS WITH TUBERCULOSIS IN RSUP DR.M.DJAMIL PADANG JULY 2016-JULY 2017 Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the human immune system that can progress into AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that can be caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. HIV/AIDS is still a global health problem. HIV attacks white blood cell that is called lymphocytes that have CD4+. TB is a major killer in people with HIV/AIDS. The purpose of this research is to know the description of the characteristics of HIV/AIDS adult patients with TB in RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang July 2016-July 2017. The research is descriptive retrospective observational that use secondary data,which is medical records of HIV/AIDS-TB patients in RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang between July,1st2016 – July,31th 2017. Data is processed using Microsoft Excel and presented through univariate analysis. The population for patients with HIV/AIDS with TB in this research is 61 people, which is for HIV with pulmonary tuberculosis is 44 people, HIV with extra lung TB is 8 people, and HIV with pulmonary tuberculosis and extra lung TB is 9 people. The results of this research for HIV group with pulmonary tuberculosis were mostly male (90.9%), 26-35 years old (50%), middle education level (68.2%), unmarried status (56.8%), work as self-employed (59.1%), stage 3 (72.1%), sputum smear negative (64%). In the HIV/AIDS group with extra-pulmonary TB were mostly male (87.5%), 26-35 years old (50%), middle education level (75%), unmarried and married (50%), work as self-employed (50%), stage 4 (13.1%), sputum smear negative (13.1%). In the HIV / AIDS group with pulmonary TB and extra-pulmonary TB were mostly male (88.9%), 26-35 years old (55.6%), low, middle and high education level (33.3%), unmarried (55.6%), work as self-employed (33.3%), stage 4 (14.8%), sputum negative (13.1%).
