Abstract

In the last 6 months the number of visits to the elderly Posyandu in Jorong Batabuah New Koto only 5.3% of 189 inhabitants. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with visits to the elderly Posyandu in Jorong Batabuah Koto Baru Kenagarian Bukik Batabuah Puskesmas Lasi Agam done in August 2015. The research was conducted through a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique is total sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria so that the number of samples 168 respondents. Data collection is done on 4 to 18 December 2015 by using questionnaires and processed and analyzed with frequency distribution table is then tested with Chi-square. The results showed visits to the elderly Posyandu in Jorong Batabuah Koto Baru still low 1-2 visits in the last 6 months. Factors knowledge, attitudes, support health care workers, family support and within the home (accessibility) of the Posyandu elderly elderly there is a significant relationship with the elderly to visit the elderly Posyandu (p = 0.000). Recommendations from this study are expected to further improve the implementation of the health workers counseling about posyandu elderly on a regular basis, the addition amount of cadre's, elderly family can provide such support to Posyandu remind schedule and deliver to the elderly Posyandu.
