Abstract

Pain that occurs in breast cancer is punctured pain - stabbing puncture by sharp objects. One non pharmacological management of pain use guided imagery and Mozart’s music. Guided Imagery and music Mozart is a non pharmacological recommended therapy in managing cancer pain. The research objective was to determine the effect of therapy and guided imagery Mozart therapy to decrease pain scale in Surgery Room Women's Hospital Dr. M. Djamil Padang. Using a quasi-experimental research design approach to one group pretest-posttest design. The total sample of 15 respondents. Using a pain scale measuring instrument Numeric Rating Scales. Univariate analysis pain before intervention had average 4.44. Pain scale after the intervention had average 3.02. Bivariate analysis using Paired T Test Results obtained decrease pain scale of 2.00 scale with p value = 0.000. There is an influence on the pain scale kankepayudara decline. Suggestions for further research in order to use a control group in the conduct of research in order to see any significant difference.
