Abstract

Berdasarkanpenelitian terdahulu telah terseleksi 13 isolat rizobakteri indigenos (RbI) mampu mengendalikan penyakit layu bakteri oleh Ralstonia solanacearum. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh isolat RbI terseleksi sebagai agens biokontrol penyakit layu bakteriyang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhandan hasil tanaman cabai. Penelitian dirancang secara acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 17 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 13 isolat RbI terseleksi, 2 isolat RbI yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit tetapi tidak mampu mengendalikan R. Solanacearumpada bibit cabai, kontrol positif (pupuk buatan sesuai rekomendasi) dan kontrol negatif (tanpa isolat RbI dan pupuk). Semua tanaman cabai yang diintroduksi dengan isolat RbI dipupuk dengan pupuk buatan separuh rekomendasi. Isolat RbI diintroduksi 2 kali yaitu dengan perendaman benih dan perendaman akar bibit sebelum tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing isolat RbI ada yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan cabai dan ada juga yang menyebabkan penurunan dibanding kontrol. Isolat terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit yaitu RZ2.1AG3 dan RZ1.2AP1; pertumbuhan tanaman yaitu RZ1.4AP4 dan RZ2.1AP3 dan hasil yaitu RZ2.2AG2 dan RZ2.1AP4. Sedangkan isolat RbI terbaik yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai yaitu RZ1.2AP1 dan RZ2.1AG3. The purpose of this research were to obtain the selected IRb isolates which can increasegrowthand yield of chili. This experimentwere designed in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consist of 17 treatments and 4 replications.The treatments were 13 selected IRb, 2 IRb isolates which can increase growth of chili seedlingsbut cannot control R. Solanacearumin chili seedlings, positivecontrol (artificial fertilizers as recommended) andnegative control (without rhizobacteria and fertilizer).All rizobacterial introduced plants have fertilized with half recomendation’s artificial fertilizer.IRb isolates were introduced 2 times by soaked the seed and soaked the seedling’s root before planting. This research showed that each IRB isolates were able to increase chili growth and also decrease chili growth compared to control. The best isolates in increasing seedling growth were RZ2.1AG3 and RZ1.2AP1; plant growth were RZ1.4AP4 and RZ2.1AP3; and yields were RZ2.2AG2 and RZ2.1AP4. Whilethe best IRb isolates which able to increase growth andyields of chili wereRZ1.2AP1 and RZ2.1AG3. Keywords: Chili,growth, selected rhizobacteria, yield
