Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang upaya diplomasi publik Korea Selatan ke Jepang melalui Korean Wave. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori diplomasi publik Nicholas J Cull. Pemerintah Korea Selatan menyadari bahwa Korean Wave dapat dijadikan sebagai alat diplomasi publik Korea Selatan ke Jepang sebagai alat memperbaiki hubungan kedua negara dalam berbagai bidang untuk masa yang akan datang. Dalam hal ini, kedua negara sepakat untuk melakukan kerja sama dan berinteraksi terutama dalam bidang kebudayaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan menggunakan data sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah keberhasilan Korea Selatan melaksanakan diplomasi publik ke Jepang melalui Korean Wave. Kata Kunci: Diplomasi Publik, Korea Selatan, Jepang, Korean Wave. ABSTRACT This research examines the public diplomacy efforts of South Korea to Japan through the Korean Wave program. This research utilizes the public diplomacy theory of Nicholas J Cull. South Korean government realizes that Korean Wave can be used as a tool of South Korea public diplomacy to Japan and also as a tool to improve relations between two countries in various field for the future. In this case, both countries agreed to cooperate and interact in the field of culture. This research utilizes the qualitative method with the descriptive approach and uses secondary data. The result of this research is the model of public diplomacy used by South Korea to Japan through Korean Wave. Keywords: Public Diplomacy, South Korea, Japan, Korean Wave.
