Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi India bergabung dalam kerja sama Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode eksplanatif. Untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang memotivasi India bergabung dalam RCEP peneliti menggunakan perspektif perdagangan menurut neoliberal, konsep complex interdependence, dan konsep Objektivitas negara dalam mengikuti perjanjian perdagangan regional.Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti menemukan motivasi bergabungnya India dalam RCEP adalah karena adanya saling ketergantungan yang kompleks antar negara anggota RCEP yang mengharuskan negara dalam hal ini India untuk mengidentifikasi comparative advantage. Kemudian terdapat beberapa Objektivitas India dalam bergabung dengan RCEP diantaranyaIndia dapat meningkatkan perdagangannya, kepastian akses pasar, peningkatan daya tawar multilateral, membentuk keterhubungan yang strategis dengan negara anggota lainnya, memperkuat India dalam kebijakan domestik serta sebagaiMultilateral and Regional Interplay. Kata kunci : India, RCEP, complex Interdependence, comparative advantage, Objektivitas negara ABSTRACT This research determines the motivations of India’s integration in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). This research is explanatory method. In order to explain the factors that motivate India to join the RCEP the researcher utilizes the neoliberal trade perspective, the concept of complex interdependence, and the concept of state objectivity in following regional trade agreements. According to the question, the researchers found that India’s integration incorporation into the RCEP was due to the complex interdependence between RCEP member states that required the countries in this case India to identify their own comparative advantage. Then there are several Objectivies in joining the RCEP, in which India can increase its regional trade, have a larger market access, increase their multilateral bargaining power, establish strategic interconnection with other member countries, strengthen India in domestic policy as well as in Multilateral and Regional Interplay.
