Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF PLAYING VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES AGAINTS THE AGGRESIVE BEHAVIOR OF STUDENTS IN SMP 9 PADANG By : Anadyastri Esriella 1010863007 The development of today's technology so rapidly, this development affects the audio visual media one of which is video games. Video games can lead to aggressive behavior of learners, therefore this study aims to determine the effect of violent video games against aggresive behavior of learners. This research type is descriptive research with quantitative approach, and use survey method by using questioner. The object of this research is 87 respondents who are students of class VII, VIII, IX SMP 9 Padang. The cultivation theory will be used to analyze the research results of the impact of violent game video on aggresive behavior of learners with regression data analysis using the help of spss 15 The results showed that H1 received where there is influence of playing video games of violent to student aggressive behavior as much as 31,4%.
