Abstract
Objective Based on World Health Organization (WHO) death cause accident on road reach 1,24 milion per year. Based on Police Office Padang total accident in 2014 reach 472 event. The purpose of the research is to looked a correlation about sex, knowledge, condition of vehicle and perception with behavior of safety riding in Poltekkes Kemenkes RI Padang 2015. Method This research used a cross sectional study design. The research have been conducted during in march-july 2015. Population in this research is all of students that used a motorcycle that total 427 and sample taken about 84 person’s. Interview to sample is one of how to measured in this research. Analysis of the research used a univariat and analysis bivariat used by chi square test. Result More than half responden (53,6%) is a women. Rresponden that have a low knowledge is 34,5%. 57,1% responden has a bad perception. And there are no correlation about sex and behavior of safety riding p=0,178. There are correlation about knowledge and behavior of safety riding p=0,048. There are no correlation about condition of motorcycle and behavior of safety riding p=0,1. There are correlation about perception and behavior of safety riding in Poltekkes Kemenkes RI Padang 2015 Conclution There are correlation about knowledge and perception with behavior of safety riding in Poltekkes Kemenkes RI Padang and hoped to give a information about safety riding to their student’s Reference : 35 (1981-2014) Key Word : Behavior, sex, knowledge, perseption
