Abstract

Program Studi S1 Keperawatan Fakultas Keperawatn Universitas Andalas Juli 2017 Nama : Widynanda Septrya No BP : 1311312019 Hubungan Breastfeeding Self-efficacy dengan Keefektifan Proses Menyusui pada Ibu Postpartum di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Nanggalo Padang ABSTRAK ASI memiliki banyak manfaat baik untuk kesehatan ibu maupun bayi. Namun faktanya persentase ibu yang menyusui eksklusif di Indonesia terus menurun seiring dengan bertambahnya usia bayi. Keberhasilan dalam memberikan ASI eksklusif harus ditunjang dengan tindakan menyusui efektif. Salah satu faktor yang dapat dimodifikasi yang dapat mempengaruhi keefektifan proses menyusui adalah breastfeeding self-efficacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan breastfeeding self-efficacy dengan keefektifan proses menyusui. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional, yang dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Nanggalo Padang. Penelitian berlangsung dari bulan Januari sampai bulan Juli 2017. Sampel terdiri dari 44 orang ibu postpartum yang melahirkan 1 bulan terakhir dengan taksiran persalinan pada bulan Mei 2017 dengan teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan breastfeeding self-efficacy scale short form dan LATCH breastfeeding assessment tools. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan menunjukkan terdapat hubungan breastfeeding self-efficacy dengan keefektifan proses menyusui pada ibu postpartum dengan nilai p = 0,000. Diharapkan kepada tenaga kesehatan khusus nya tenaga keperawatan agar dapat mengkaji masalah yang dihadapi ibu dalam menyusui sehingga masalah ini dapat diatasi lebih dini dan tidak mempengaruhi efikasi diri ibu dalam menyusui, sehingga proses menyusui yang efektif tetap dapat tercapai. But, in fact, the percentage of mother who breastfeed the baby decrease as the increasing of the age of the infant. Exclusive breastfeeding success need to be support by effective breastfeeding. The possible modified factors to enhanced effective breastfeeding outcomes were breastfeeding self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the relationship of breastfeeding self-efficacy and the effectiveness of breastfeeding process. This study using descriptive analytic method and using cross sectional design. This study conducted from Januari to July 2017. Conducted in Puskesmas Nanggalo working area. This study consist of 44 postpartum mothers who gave birth last 1 month with estimated date of delivery on May 2017 and sampling technique using total sampling. Data were collected using breastfeeding self-efficacy scale short form and LATCH breastfeeding assessment tools. Data were analyzed using chi square test. The result showed a relationship between breastfeeding self-efficacy and the effectiveness of breastfeeding process in postpartum mother with p value = 0,000. It is desirable for health profesional, especially nurse to assess barrier faced by postpartum mothers, so that early treatment can be given and do not affect breastfeeding self efficacy, so that effective breastfeeding can be achieved.
