Abstract
One of the problems faced in adolescence is the transition that makes teenage emotions less stable. At this time adolescents are often referred to as a period of storms and stress (storm and stress) is a period full of turmoil due to conflicting values. Psychologically, juvenile delinquency is a manifestation of unresolved conflicts in childhood and adolescence. For that it takes a strong belief and experience of religious teachings to reduce these behaviors. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence of religiosity on juvenile delinquency in SMK Kosgoro 1 Padang. This study was quantitative research. Measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of religiosity using Glock and Stark's theory (in Ancok & Suroso, 1994) consisting of 49 items (rix = 0.872). Scale delinquency using Jensen theory (in Sarwono, 2012) which consists of 32 aitem (rix = 0.878). The number of samples in this study were 185 students at SMK Kosgoro 1 Padang chosen by using proportionate stratified random sampling method. Data was analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there are significant religiosity to juvenile delinquency in SMK Kosgoro 1 Padang. This is evidenced by the coefficient of determination shown by R square is 0.044. This suggests that religiosity contributed 4,4% to juvenile delinquency and the remaining 95,4% is determined by other variables not examined in this study. This study also showed that religiosity in SMK Kosgoro 1 Padang is in low category and juvenile delinquency is in high category. Keywords: Juvenile Delinquency, Religiosity, Juvenile
