Abstract
Plant Pacar Cina (Aglaia odorata) is a medicinal plant that contains a variety of secondary metabolites. To obtain compounds of plant secondary metabolites can be done with isolation process. Ethyl acetate fraction of pacar cina leave had been carried out by chromatographic column. The results of the separation column chromatography were continued by preparative thin layer chromatography, to obtain a pure compound. Isolated compound was tested TLC test to prove the purity of the compound that provides a blue stain which had reacted with ammonia reagent that is characteristic of coumarin compound. The UV spectrum showed a double bond in the isolated compound is in λ 204.80 nm, 224.80 nm, 286,80 nm, 331 nm and the IR spectrum showed the functional groups OH stretching absorption at 3421.40 cm-1, aliphatic CH stretching at 2929.67 cm-1, C = O stretching at 1725.10 cm-1, C = C stretching at 1634.32 cm-1, and CO stretching at 1252.12 cm-1.
