Abstract

The objectives of research were to identify the period of growth and development, evaluating the growth ability and identifying the yield and quality of each chili pepper. This research was conducted in experimental gardens Faculty of Agriculture Andalas University, from July 2016 to February 2017. This study used a Randomized Completed Block Design (RCBD) with 6 treatments and three replications. The treatments are the varieties which have the name Hiem chili F1 DEMON, Hiem chili F1 01, Hiem chili F1 131, Sung vang chili, cabe keriting LARIS F1, cabe rawit BARA. The data were analyzed by SPSS software. The result showed that the varieties Hiem chili F1 01, Hiem chili F1 131 and Sung vang chili have strong growth ability and well-development, high potential yield, suitable with the weather conditions in Padang, Indonesia.
