Abstract

Percobaan tentang Pengaruh Beberapa Konsentrasi Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) telah dilakukan di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Andalas, Limau Manih, Padang, Sumatera Barat pada ketinggian tempat 356 m dpl. Penelitian dimulai sejak bulan Desember 2015 sampai April 2016. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi IBA yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bibit manggis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf perlakuan (0 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, dan 300 ppm) dan 3 kali ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan uji F pada taraf nyata 5% dan F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian konsentrasi 100 ppm merupakan konsentrasi terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bibit manggis. Kata Kunci: manggis, indole butiric acid, bibit, pertumbuhan THE EFFECT OF INDOLE BUTYRIC ACID ON THE GROWTH OF MANGOSTEEN (Garcinia mangostana L.) SEEDLINGS Abstrak An experiment on the effect of Indole Butyric Acid on the growth of mangosteen seedlings was conducted at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas, Limau Manih, Padang, West Sumatra at an altitude of 356 m above sea level. The experiment which was commenced at December 2015 until April 2016 was in a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatment was concentrations of Indole Butyric Acid i.e 0; 100; 200; and 300 ppm. Data were analyzed using the F- test and mean values were separated using Duncan's New Multiple Range Test at 5% level. A concentration of 100 ppm Indole Butyric Acid is the best concentration to promote the growth of mangosteen seedlings Keywords: mangosteen, indole butyric acid, seedling, growth
