Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the environment, coastal development and the economic adaptation behavior of fisherman to fisherman’s welfare in Koto XI Tarusan using primary data were obtained from 100 families of traditional fishermen who live in along the coast in Koto XI Tarusan. This study uses an a Structural Equation Model using Partial Least Square to measure how much each variable influence fisherman’s welfare. The results of this study found that economic adaptation behavior of fishermen in Koto XI Tarusan has negative and significant impact on fishermen’s welfare, environment condition has positive and not significant to influence the fishermen’s welfare and development has positive and not significant to influence the fisherman’s welfare.
