Abstract

This research examines water securitization as a security issue in Singapore. Singapore has been experienced a seriuos water crisis since before independence. The purpose of this research is to analyse the process of water securitization becomes security issue that has been done since its independence. The conceptual framework which is used is securitization. Descriptive-analysis is choosen as methodology. The main key of this research is to see the behavior pattern of securitizing actor that seen in official statements and policies established. The result of this study indicates that there is a process of securitization water issues become a security issue that is visible from the official account and the policy directions established.
