Abstract

This thesis would like to explain how the influence of party identification, candidate quality and economic evaluation of the Urban Community Bukittingi voting behavior in the Legislative Elections in 2014. The theory used in this research is the theory of voting behavior that psychological approaches and rational approach. Psychological approaches to explain that voting behavior is influenced by the attachment of a person in a political party, the orientation of a person against candidates and orientation towards political issues, while the rational approach to explain that voting behavior is influenced by penilaiaan someone to evaluate the promise of the campaign, evaluation of candidates and evaluation kineja Government pursed into evaluation of the government's economic performance over the economy and the respondents' evaluation of the government's economic performance to the local economy / center. To search the data used quantitative approach which survey method using this type of research eksplanatory.dengan three variables, the scale used are nominal and ordinal, hypothesis testing using chi-square, contingency coefficient and multinominal logistic regression. Sampling using sampling Probability Sampling by the number of samples of 400 people scattered in the District Aua Birugo Tigo Baleh, Guguak Koto Panjang and Mandiang Salayan. From the description and explanation of voting behavior Bukittinggi Society in Legislative Election 2014 turns out, there is the influence of party identification on voting behavior, especially at the community level legislators elections .Furthermore, there are significant quality of candidates on electoral behavior People see it from the legislators. Meanwhile, for the economic evaluation has no effect on voting behavior Bukittingi Urban Community in Legislative Election 2014. Based on these results illustrate that the level of elections for parliament member variables that most influence on voting behavior of society, namely the identification of the party and to the level of election of members of the Provincial Council and the Parliament of variables that affect the quality of candidates. Only variables that have the strength of weak ties.
