Abstract

Stok karbon tanah merupakan banyaknya karbon yang tersimpan didalam tanah. Pemetaan stok karbon diperlukan untuk memberi informasi nilai stok karbon dan sebarannya yang menjadi indikator kesuburan lahan pada suatu wilayah. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian metode penginderaan jauh dengan melihat korelasi data hasil pengamatan lapangan dengan data NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada lahan sawah disekitar Gunung Talang dengan jenis tanah Andisol. Sawah vulkanis Gunung Talang berada di Kabupaten Solok yang tersebar di sisi Timur dan Utara Gunung Talang yang terdapat di beberapa kecamatan, diantaranya Kecamatan Gunung Talang dan Kecamatan Lembang Jaya dengan total luas sawah yang diteliti sebesar 4.798 ha. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan sistem grid interval 1000x1000 m dengan kedalaman tanah 0-20 cm dan 20-40 cm. parameter pengamatan tanah yang dilakukan ialah berat volume, pH tanah, C-organik, C-total, C-labil, C-sangat labil, C-humus metal kompleks dan C-terikat liat non kristalin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah sawah vulkanis Gunung Talang memiliki estimasi stok karbon tanah sebesar ±566.096,83 ton di kedalaman 0-40 cm. Hasil estimasi stok karbon pada kedalaman 0-20 cm sebesar ±348.661,06 ton dan kedalaman 20-40 cm sebesar ±217.435,764 ton. Hasil Estimasi stok C-labil sebesar ±158.314,81 ton, stok C-sangat labil sebesar ±4.627,19 ton, stok C-humus metal kompleks sebesar ± 21.606,35 ton dan stok C- terikat liat non kristalin sebesar ± 6.816,04 ton. Didapatkan hasil korelasi sangat lemah antara stok karbon dengan NDVI (r = 0,053). Kata Kunci : Estimasi Stok Karbon Tanah, NDVI, Sawah Vulkanis. Soil carbon stock is the amount of carbon stored in the soil. Carbon stock mapping is needed to provide information of carbon store and their distribution and can be used as an indicator of soil fertility. In this study, remote sensing data were used to correlated the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) with soil data. This research was conducted on paddy fields around Mount Talang and soil classified as Andisol. Mount Talang volcanic paddy fields are located in Solok Regency which is spread on the East and North sides of Mount Talang located at Gunung Talang District and Lembang Jaya District with a total of paddy field with an area of 4,798 ha. The survey method was used with a grid system an intervals of 1000x1000 m with a soil depth of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm. Soil were analyzed are bulk density, soil pH, C-organic, C-total, C-labile, C-highly labile, C-humus metal complex and C-bound to non-crystalline clay. Results showed that the volcanic paddy soils of Mount Talang have soil carbon stock of ±566. 096.83 tons at a depth of 0-40 cm. The estimated result of carbon stocks at a depth of 0-20 cm is ±348. 661.06 tons and a depth of 20-40 cm by ±217. 435,764 tons. C-labile stock estimate about ±158. 314.8 1 ton, C-very labile stock of ±4. 627.19 tons, C-humus metal complex stock of ± 21. 606.35 tons and C-bound to non-crystalline clay stock of ± 6. 816.04 tons. A very weak correlation exist between carbon stocks and NDVI (r = 0.053) was obtained. Keyword: Estimated Soil Carbon Stock, NDVI, Volcanic Paddy Soils.
