Abstract

Walang sangit (Leptocorisa oratorius F) merupakan hama utama tanaman padi, yang menyerang bulir padi yang berada pada fase matang susu sampai panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan beberapa varietas padi yang ditanam secara System of Rice Intensification (SRI) dari serangan walang sangit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelurahan Kapalo Koto Ampangan, Kecamatan Payakumbuh Selatan dari bulan September 2015-Januari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 5 varietas padi (Junjung, Anak Daro, Pandan Wangi, Batang Piaman dan Siliah) yang disusun dalam 4 kelompok. Parameter pengamatan adalah populasi hama walang sangit (individu/10 ayunan), anakanproduktif (rumpun), persentase bulir terserang (rumpun) dan hasil panen (toh/ha). Jaring ayun digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang populasi walang sangit (individu/10 ayunan ganda). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa serangan walang sangit pada varietas Batang Piaman paling rendah dibandingkan 4 varietas lainnya, akan tetapi serangan ini tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil panen. Populasi walang sangit terendah ditemukan pada varietas padi Batang Piaman (7,00 individu/10 kali ayunan ganda) dengan persentase serangan terendah (33,84%). Disamping itu, anakan produktif terbanyak ditemukan pada varietas Pandan Wangi (49,10 anakan/rumpun) dan hasil panen tertinggi ditemukan pada varietas Junjung (11,05 ton/ha). Kata kunci : Padi (Oryza sativa L), System of Rice Intensification (SRI), walang sangit (Leptocorisa oratorius F). Abstract: Rice bug is a major pest of rice crop, which attacks the rice in milkgrain stage until harvesting. The study aimed to determine the tolerance of some varieties of rice were planted in System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method from rice bug attack. The study was conducted in Kapalo Koto Ampangan Village, South Payakumbuh District from September 2015 until January 2016. The study used randomized block design (RBD), which consisted of five varieties of rice (Junjung, Anak Daro, Pandan Wangi, Batang Piaman and Siliah) and arranged in four groups. The parameters were rice bug population, productive tiller, percentage of grain attacked and yield. The insect net used to obtain data about rice bug population (individu/ 10 double swing/field).The results showed that attack of rice bug on Batang Piaman variety was the lowest among four other varieties, but the attack did not affect the yield. The lowest rice bug population was found in Batang Piaman (7.00 individual/double swing 10 times) with the lowest attack percentage (33.84%). Mean while, the most productive tiller was found on Pandan Wangi variety (49.10 tillers/hill) and the highest yield was found in Junjung variety (11.05 t/ha).
