Abstract

Perkembangan jumlah homoseksual di Indonesia tiap tahunnya terus bertambah. Kota Padang khususnya tercatat sudah 662 orang pria dengan orientasi seksual gay. Studi kualitatif pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengamalan hidup sebagai homoseksual dalam konteks tumbuh kembang perilaku. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah studi fenomenologi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pria dengan orientasi seksual sesama jenis yang berdomisili di kota Padang sebanyak 6 orang dengan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode Collaizi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh delapan tema yaitu Penyebab hubungan sejenis, Pengalaman awal saat berhubungan, Proses dalam berhubungan, Pemilihan pasangan, Potensi masalah fisik dan psikososial, Konsep diri terhadap orientasi seksual, Pola asuh dan peran ibu, pemantapan pilihan status gender. Pengalaman awal berhubungan partisipan merasa canggung, risih dengan perlakuan pasangan. Pola asuh juga mempengaruhi seseorang untuk menjadi homoseksual, terbukti dengan adanya pengaruh ibu yang lebih dominan dalam keluarga. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dalam konteks ini partisipan mengungkapkan keinginan untuk menikah dan mengurangi berhubungan seksual sesama jenis dan kembali menyukai perempuan. Disamping itu ternyata ada partisipan yang memiliki keinginan lain yakni satu orang berharap agar orientasi seksual nya ini bisa diterima dimata masyarakat serta berharap tidak adanya diskriminasi terhadap diri nya, dan satu partisipan lagi berharap agar bisa menjadi wanita seutuhnya dengan memiliki rahim. Padang city in particular has been noted that 662 men with gay sexual orientation. Qualitative studies on this study aims to determine the practice of life as a homosexual in the context of developmental behavior. The design of this research is the study of phenomenology. Participants in this study were men with same-sex sexual orientation who live in the city of Padang as many as 6 people with snowball sampling technique. The results of this study were analyzed using Collaizi. The results were obtained eight themes, namely cause of same-sex relationships, the initial experience during sex, in the process of dealing, Election couples, Potential physical and psychosocial problems, Concepts themselves against sexual orientation, parenting and the role of the mother, the consolidation of the status of gender selection. The initial experience related participants felt awkward, uncomfortable with the treatment of couples. Parenting also predispose a person to be homosexual, as evidenced by their mother more dominant influence in the family. The conclusion of this study is in this context participants expressed a desire for marriage and same-sex intercourse reduce and re-liked women. Besides, it turns out there are participants who have other wishes: one wish that her sexual orientation is unacceptable in the eyes of society and hope no discrimination against his self, and one more participant, hopes to become a complete woman to have a uterus.
