Abstract

Nowadays, every country around the globe strives to optimize the use of their potential natural resources in order to increase national income. Then, tourism sector seems to be one of best alternatives to do so. The tourism sector is taking an important position as one of the world's largest industry with a share of 11% of global gross domestic product (Nurhadi et al, 2015). Likewise, Indonesia is also struggling to maximize its tourism sectors. That can be seen from the growth of Indonesian tourism sector that gradually increase year by year. In 2014, total of 9.44 millions tourist visited Indonesia (bps.go.id, 2014), this number was 7.1 percent higher than 2013 and exceeded Indonesian economic growth which was at 5.1 percent at that time.
