Abstract
This research aims to identify and analyze the effectiveness of local laws and regulations regarding taxation in particular hotels and boarding houses understanding their tax contributions. This research is descriptive qualitative case study using primary data collected through questionnaires and interviews. Method of data collection is non- probability sampling method. Data analysis techniques use the percentage and degree of effectiveness through Kepmendagri. The results of this study showed that local laws and regulations on the number 8 in 2011 against the particular hotel tax boarding house is ineffective and understanding of the contributions tax especially rooming house hotel is also ineffective.
