Abstract

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF SUGAR CANE (Saccarum Offinarum L) PROCESSING INTO PALM SUGAR OF JOINT BUSINESS GROUP (KUBE) SEPAKAT IV IN MATUR SUB-DISTRICT, AGAM DISTRICT Abstract This study aims to describe sugar cane processing into palm sugar and to analyze the financial aspect of palm sugar processing at 14% discount rate. The data were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study shows that palm sugar processing from sugarcane of Joint Business Group (KUBE) Sepakat IV is not feasible to operate with Benefit Cost ratio (B/C) 0,94, Net Present Value (NPV) Rp.-40.371.118, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 0,92 % and Payback Period cannot be achieved. Palm sugar processing would be feasible to run if the machine capacity is fulfilled, Benefit Cost Ratio B/C 1,18, Net present Value (NPV) Rp. 535.998.540, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 33% and Payback Period achieved on third year. The study suggest that Joint Business Group (KUBE) Sepakat IV should be able to fulfill machine capacity and increase working time. Raw materials can be supplied by other farmers if the business experience the shortage of raw materials.
