Abstract

Tujuan ISPA merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian pada anak dibawah lima tahun. Data Riskesdas menunjukkan prevalensi ISPA tertinggi terjadi pada usia 1-4 tahun sebesar 25,8%. Setiap tahun kunjungan Puskesmas adalah kunjungan penderita ISPA sebesar 40-60%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pemberian kapsul vitamin A dan status gizi dengan kejadian ISPA pada balita di Puskesmas Belimbing Kota Padang Tahun 2016. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional, dilakukan di Puskesmas Belimbing Kota Padang pada Bulan Mei-Juni 2016. Populasi adalah seluruh balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Belimbing dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 65 orang. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode accidental sampling. Data diolah dengan SPSS dan dianalisis dengan uji statistik Chi-Square dengan derajat kepercayaan 95% (α=0,05). Hasil Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kejadian ISPA pada balita (67,7%), pemberian kapsul vitamin A (36,9%), dan status gizi normal (63,1%). Berdasarkan uji statistik didapatkan hubungan antara pemberian kapsul vitamin A dengan kejadian ISPA pada balita (p value=0,040 dan OR=3,556), dan terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian ISPA pada balita (p value=0,019 dan OR=5,478). Kesimpulan Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemberian kapsul vitamin A dan status gizi dengan kejadian ISPA pada balita di Puskesmas Belimbing Kota Padang Tahun 2016, diharapkan kepada pihak Puskesmas untuk lebih meningkatkan penyuluhan tentang gizi dan pemberian vitamin A untuk menurunkan angka anak gizi kurang dan menurunkan kejadian ISPA pada balita. The purpose of this research was to determine the association of vitamin A supplementation and nutritional status with acute respiratory infections (ARI) in toodler at public health care of belimbing padang city in 2016. Methods This research desaign used cross sectional study and conducted at public health of belimbing padang city in May to June 2016. Population of this research was childern in the age 1-5 years with 65 respondens. Method of sampling was using accidental sampling. The data was proccesed with SPSS and analyzed by Chi-Square test statistic with 95% (α=0,05) confidence interval. Results The results on this research showed that ARI events (67,7%), vitamin A supplementation in children (36,9%), and normal nutritional status (35,4%). Based on the statistics obtained significant association between vitamin A supplementation with acute respiratory infections (p value = 0,040, OR=3,556 ), there is significants association between nutritional status with acute respiratory infections (p value = 0,019, OR=5,478). Conclusions There was a significant association between vitamin A supplementation and nutritional status with acute respiratory infections in children under five years at public health care of belimbing padang city in 2016, expected to the hand of public health care to enhance conceling on nutrition and vitamin A supplementation for reducing the number of under nutrition in children and decrease the incidence of acute respiratory infections.
