Abstract
Relative poverty is a type of poverty that occurs due to the influence of development policies thay have not yet touched all levels of society. In contrast with absolute poverty which is to determine the minimum level of income sufficient to meet physical needs for food, clothing, and housing, relative poverty indicates that household is still in a poor state judging from the ability to fulfill basic needs that is still relatively low compare to the surrounding community although the income is above the poverty line. This present study is focusing on the multidimensional poverty indicators that are the most sensitive to the existence of poverty in the household. By using chi square test, this study shows that all 12 indicators tested Pre school, Literacy, School Participation, Sanitation, Clean Water, Childbirth, Ownership Home Status, House Roof, House Wall, House Floor, Lighting Source, and Cooking Fuel. Are significantly related to poverty and indicator that are the most sensitive to the existence of poverty are Cooking Fuel.
