Abstract
One of the efforts to improve the preparedness of emergency response planning for school-age children is the provision of education based on android games. The Baby Bus game is an android game that provides tips for surviving an earthquake to illustrate how children should react if an earthquake comes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education based on the android game Baby Bus: earthquake on emergency response planning for school- age children. This research was conducted from 16 July – 03 July 2022 at RW 05, Pasie Nan Tigo Village. This research uses Pre-Experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Sampling used a total sampling technique with a sample of 40 children and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Test. The instrument used to measure emergency response planning is the LIPI- UNESCO/ISDR (2006) questionnaire. The results showed that there was a mean difference between the action before the intervention and the action after the intervention was given to the android game Chapter Bus: earthquake with a p value of 0.000 (Asymp.Sig. < 0.05). It is recommended that school-age children can apply disaster emergency response planning after being given education on android games such as preparing important needs and documents, always remembering where to take shelter when an earthquake occurs, and remembering the existence of an evacuation route. This can minimize the number of victims in school-age children.
