Abstract

The number of COVID-19 cases in children will increase in 2021 with 12.6% of children having confirmed COVID-19. The Indonesian government has determined that vaccination for children aged 6-11 years is set at the end of December 2021 as a precaution against COVID-19. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and actions of parents on COVID-19 vaccination in children. This type of research is quantitative research with correlation analytic and using purposive sampling technique using 132 respondents. Univariate analysis is shown in the frequency distribution table and bivariate using Chi Square test. The results of the study showed an average score of 65.2% had high knowledge, 58.3% had a positive attitude, 57.6% had good actions. The relationship between knowledge-action, and attitude-action has a significant correlation, namely p = 0.000. This means that if knowledge is high then the action is good, and if the resulting attitude is positive, then the action is also good. It is hoped that the Puskesmas will implement the vaccine in stages, provide education on knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine, and distribute COVID-19 vaccine pamphlets.
