Abstract

This study aims to explore the dimension components of smart village model needed for sustainable development in rural areas as previous studies have proposed the smart village model but there are still other components that have not been detected. This study uses systematic review as the research methodology through Preferred Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta- Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The type of systematic review used in this study is descriptive review, which focuses on analyzing the concept from existing literatures. The systematic review has compiled nine dimension components of smart village model for sustainable development in rural areas, namely economy, ICT, people, governance, environment, energy, living, infrastructure, and network. The discussion also followed by the implementation of smart village in various countries. This study has several limitations, though researcher has compiled dimension components of smart village model for sustainable development in rural areas based on existing literatures into nine categories, there are still some other components that researcher might not include. Future research can identify other components that have not been included in this study.
